I was commenting on GayJew’s post about Ilhan Omar on the Religion page when a non-Religion moderator, Aloha 27,, threatened to remove the post because it was “too old.” Upon being told that isn’t a rule on Religion posts, Aloha then insisted that it still had a date on it, as though Religion posts are forbidden from mentioning dates. When I pointed out that this was a way of attributing the post, and that BN people should mind their own business on the Religion page, my comment was removed and I was threatened with being banned.
I have been posting on Religion for about five years. I studiously avoided going on BN because I had no interest. When the channels were combined, I tried it out but my instincts were correct. Now that bullshit is bleeding onto OUR space. If your moderators can’t even understand the rules of where they’re moderating, they shouldn’t be moderators. This is part of a continuing pattern of BN issues showing up on Religion.
