I have a question regarding the Guidelines.
When it comes to Blocking a Mod, the guidelines state:
Please do not block the moderators
Which in my view is a request not a hard rule.
The Guidelines then say:
- While we do not care to test if you are blocking us, comments about blocking mods WILL be deleted without warning.
Yesterday I received this:
My read of the Guidelines is that we are “requested” not to block Mods. We are also “requested” not to post about it.
However, if we do post about it, that post WILL be deleted without warning.
PERIOD
There are no other disciplinary actions except that the post is deleted.
So the threat about informing all other mods and not doing it again from Smittah seems to exceed the disciplinary actions available as described within the Guidelines.
It appears to me that the Guidelines are not clear to either myself nor the Mods.
Mod Voice of Concern
Maple Leaf I will make this brief and clear. As we have made it clear that you are allowed to block a mod “at your own risk”, you are absolutely not allowed to advertise nor brag about it. The other mods have been notified about this. Do not do it again. //deleted//
