I’m submitting, respectfully, this request because I was warned with a potential ban for trying to discuss the meaning of the slogan “globalize the intifada.” I understand moderators have discretion, but this issue goes beyond personal disagreement.
Crucially, It concerns whether the slogan itself violates Rule #4.2 against advocating violence or threatening harm.
The term intifada refers to specific historical uprisings in Israel in ehuxg civilians (including children) were deliberately killed. To “globalize” killing civilians extends that violence beyond Israel’s borders.
Whether or not individual posters claim peaceful intent, the phrase’s historic meaning, coincide with intimidation and attacks on Jewish people and institutions worldwide.
Allowing “globalize the intifada” promotes violence toward an identifiable group, in conflict with both Rule #4.2 and the forum’s stated ban on bigoted or racist comments under Rule #2.
My intent is not to attack, but to ask for consistency and clarity. If “globalize the intifada” is interpreted by staff as acceptable speech, then members deserve an explanation of how that aligns with the forum’s anti-violence standards. If it is not acceptable, clear guidance should be issued so enforcement is fair and even-handed. I ask that this matter be reviewed civilly.
Thank you.
