In an ongoing conversation, someone stated: “Yeah I don’t think you understand mental illness. The current president is profoundly mentally ill. He’s a malignant narcissist, which is incurable.” Nothing wrong with that comment. It is just an opinion. The issue is this response to the comment:

That is a suggestion that shooting the president is a “cure”. And that is flat out at advocating violence so isn’t that crossing a line here on BNR?
