Question about “Fuck off”

Posted on 2025-02-092025-02-10 by Scut Farkus

Was hoping you all can discuss this among yourselves and let me know what you think.

Almost 2 weeks ago, I made a comment to someone to “fuck off”.  That comment was deleted as a “personal insult”.

I am not asking to review to reinstate the comment, id like a review to see if this kind of comment can be allowed in the future.

The way I look at it, telling someone to fuck off isnt an insult, it’s a crude way of telling someone to “bugger off”, “screw off”, “go away”, “leave now”.   The BNR rules doesn’t prohibit the word “fuck”.

Side note: I do recognize that saying “Fuck you” IS a personal insult.  But “fuck off” should’nt fall under that category.

What do you all think?

Thanks for reviewing

Scut
