Apologies if I’m posting this twice. The first one didn’t seem to go through.
Rawr posted the following comment to me:
“As of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 146 of the 193 member states of the United Nations.
And it is spelled with an “S” in British English.
So don’t tell an Englishman how to use his own fucking language, illiterate Yank. (emphasis added)”
Rawr personally deleted a comment of mine in which I called someone an ignoramus in response to being called a liar. I took it to the Den and was told – by Rawr as well as others – that liar isn’t considered a personal attack, but ignoramus is. I don’t see any real difference between “ignoramus” and “illiterate Yank”. If the first is a personal attack, the second surely is as well. I am fine with you leaving Rawr’s comment up, but many of us feel he is wildly political and biased in his application of the rules. Even if you think this isn’t technically a personal attack, I don’t think it instills people with confidence in his objectivity. Could you just let me know if you think I’m way off, or if this is a legitimate issue to address?
Trump’s Gaza remarks are no surprise: ethnic cleansing was always the plan
