I’m here once again to bitch about the scheduling of my OPs.
It seems the Texas Patriot schedules the vast majority of my OPs that touch on anything transgender related for late evening / early morning.
He does it when I submit multiple articles at once when there are several that are related to transgender issues and he does it when I submit a single solitary article that is related to a transgender issue.
I’ve even noticed on days when I submit 3 or 4 OPs and only 1 of them is trans related that Texas Patriot swoops in and immediately reviews the one that is trans related and either schedules it for the late evening / early morning or deems it inflammatory and closes it and then leaves the other ones that have nothing to do with trans issues for some other mod to review.
Given that I typically submit OPs for review in mid the morning or early afternoon the scheduling of them for at least several hours later seems like an attempt to bury them.
Given that the BNR about page states that:
The goal is to be balanced and fair. Not too liberal and not too conservative.
I can’t help but feel that the repeated scheduling of my OPs for the time of day when there is the least amount of traffic on the site is a deliberate attempt to bury them.
Seems like what’s stated on the about page is all well and good as long as discussions are on subjects that the moderators (or the moderator reviewing the OP submission) approve of.
It’s just incredible that a site that thinks of itself as all “balanced and fair” regularly and continuously schedules OPs related to a specific subject matter to the worst time of day for publication and visibility.
In addition, I almost never see anything else getting scheduled out beyond when it is first looked at. Now other OPs were getting scheduled out beyond their first review date for a little bit, but as I have remained silent for a couple of months about the blatant attempt to give my trans related OPs as little visibility as possible I have noticed that this has fallen by the wayside.
On top of all this Texas Patriot also frequently fucks with what I have excerpted from the OP article, this sometimes results in the OP appearing with one paragraph following another paragraph even though the two paragraphs do not follow one another in the OP article. This not only gives the excerpted portion a disjointed feel, it also frequently just leaves out the key point of the OP article because that’s the bits that Texas Patriot selects to chop off. Again I can’t help but feel this editing of the excerpts is a done in an effort to bury the OP.
And all this leaves me with the distinct impression that BNR is not even making much of an effort to be “balanced and fair” when it comes to the scheduling of my OPs and the chopping off of the excerpted parts.
