- Similar to the above, this comment is not describing my post, despite his little attempt. It is very obviously stating that the “thing” posting is an ultra extreme moron.

Al Ryan the poster (since he barely does any moderation, I have no opinion on him as one) is a disgrace to your channel. There is simply no nice way to say it.
It’s also funny that he claims I keep engaging him, since mostly he just picks an article and then replies to every comment I make with an insult.
His comments are not directed at my comments. It’s bullshit to say that him saying I am not capable of making intelligent comments or that I’m set to “moron” is anything more than him personally insulting me. Please stop trying that tired excuse. You know it’s not true, he knows it’s not true. He tries to play the stupid game, and he’s terrible at it because he keeps slipping up and personally insulting the poster anyway.
Why go through this? Why is he so important to you that you are willing to piss off and annoy all the people he harasses? Why is he so important that you would basically degrade your own rules by allowing him to make them nothing more than jokes at our expense?
You do not have this problem with your other moderators, regardless of their political stance. Your channel has often tread the very difficult line of free speech and useful speech well. You’ve handled trolls, agitators and people who are flying off the handle at the moment well and fairly.
This is not a BNR problem. This is an Al Ryan problem. And there is an easy fix. It just involves holding him accountable. You don’t even need to ban him or anything. Just once, at all, explain to him why you built this place and what brings it down.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this again, and I sincerely hope I don’t ever feel like I have to make one of these den posts again.
