“A moderator who is engaged as a regular comment poster in a conversation may not moderate in that conversation the person with whom they are engaged. This is to prevent any appearance of personal bias.”
Moderator Darth MJM made a post about me, to which I replied. His reply was a moderation action.
He then twice ruled in favor of moderator TP in two Den posts of mine, both of which were quite aggressive in tone and both of which were overruled upon review.
As stated in the post before this, I see this as grounds for the suspicion of a bias against me.
Now, while I did not see any reason to intervene before, this repeated refusal to rule fairly in rather obvious cases of rule violations has cost me and the Den staff quite some time, so I now feel justified to bring this matter up.
Darth MJM could absolutely have called in another mod to intervene, seeing as we both exchanged underhanded insults in our exchange. I would have accepted any ruling by any moderator not involved, from removal of my post (here: https://breakingnewsandreligion.online/2021/01/23/larry-king-broadcasting-giant-for-half-century-dies-at-87/#comment-5239178495) to a temp ban or whatever is seen as the fair correction measure here.
As it now stands, I sadly see myself in the position to have to seek another ruling, to save me and the Den staff from a future waste of time.
Sorry for that and thank you for your consideration.
