Blocking others

I’m wondering if it’s possible for mods to override a block? I presume the reason why the rules prohibit us from blocking mods is because they must be able to issue warnings/suspensions to those of us who sometimes cross the line.

I believe that if we were allowed to block a mod, but only if mods could override a block and still be able to issue direct warnings, then this would help reduce alleged violations. I realize that the best option is to simply not respond to a moderator’s personal comments, but some are often too difficult to ignore, which is precisely why the block option exists in the first place.
