i was recently banned by Navyvet while he and I were actively engaged in CM to CM discussion.

during this thread the only person who took us off topic appeared to be Navyvet himself.
at no point was I aware he was attempting to moderate, in fact he continually accused me of behavior he alone engaged in.
how can we as CMs know when a mod who is engaging us as a fellow CM, is trying to mod? It would’ve been one thing if another mod came in and clearly told me to move on, but navy and I were actively engaged in numerous back and forth.
Never did he take a step out and stipulate he was moderating, up until that point it was all CM to CM. It seems like he decided it was moderation after I replied and he banned me because he didn’t like me defending myself against a clearly inaccurate claim. I think it’s unfair to expect to be able to glean what is moderation and what is not.
it might set a stage where CMs will need to just ignore all comments made by mods commenting as a CM. How can we tell what will cross the line if no mod voice is invoked?
Asking for my ban to be lifted please, seems like a simple misunderstanding.
